Privacy Policy Last updated: May 2026 DOGether ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under GDPR. What we collect Account data: • Email address — used for registration, login and password reset only Dog profile data: • Name, breed, age or birth year, size, gender, energy level • Profile photo (optional) Activity data: • Check-in history: which parks you visited, timestamps and visibility settings • Park visit statistics: streaks, competitive visit counts, rankings • Badges earned and dates • Pack connections: which dogs you have connected with via QR code Location data: • Map screen: your location is monitored while the map is active to keep your position updated and show nearby parks. This stops as soon as you leave the map screen or close the app. • Check-in verification: your GPS coordinates at the moment of check-in are used to verify you are at the park. The verification result is stored but not your exact coordinates. • "On my way": your location is read to show your status to pack friends — not stored. • Your location is NEVER tracked in the background when the app is closed or not actively in use. App preferences: • Preferred language (English or German) • Privacy settings (visibility, leaderboard participation, auto-checkout) Feedback: • If you submit feedback: message content and optionally your email What we do NOT collect • Your real name or phone number • Continuous or background location • Any data about people — only about dogs • Payment information • Contacts or social media data How we use your data • To display dog profiles and park atmosphere to other users • To show your Pack friends when a dog is at a park (subject to your visibility settings) • To calculate weekly King/Queen rankings and leaderboards • To award badges and track progress • To send account-related emails (verification, password reset) • We never use your email for marketing without your explicit consent • We never sell your data to third parties Data visibility • Public check-ins: visible to all DOGether users • Pack-only check-ins: visible only to your pack friends • Leaderboard data: only visible if you have enabled leaderboard participation in Settings • You can change your visibility settings at any time in Settings Data sharing • We do not sell data to third parties • Dog park data is sourced from official public and government open data sources, or submitted by users of the DOGether community. All user-submitted parks are reviewed and confirmed by the DOGether team before appearing on the map • We use Supabase (supabase.com) as our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on their EU-based servers Data retention • Your data is retained as long as your account is active • You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including your dog profiles, check-in history, badges and pack connections • Feedback submissions may be retained for up to 12 months for product improvement purposes Your rights (GDPR) As a user in the European Union you have the right to: • Access the data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate data • Delete your data (right to be forgotten) • Export your data • Object to processing • Withdraw consent at any time To exercise your rights contact us at: privacy@dogether-app.com Children DOGether is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time.
